What the devil is going on here? Well fans of peanut butter, let me tell you. We have here a cool recipe for making biscuits with our very own caramel crunch peanut butter. Funk me they are good.
There are times in your life when you want a nice cup of tea and something tasty to dip into it. Nothing new or funky here I know. But look what our mate Joanna Thomas has made for us. We love the use of our Caramel Crunch Peanut Butter in this.
What you need
175g soft brown sugar
350g plain flour
2tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
4tbsp golden syrup
Approx 50g Funky Nut Co caramel crunch peanut butter (Buy Yours here)
What to Do.
Preheat your oven to 150c and line you baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Put the sugar, flour, ginger, bicarbonate soda and butter into food processor and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs. Alternatively rub together using your finger tips until all the butter is rubbed into the dry ingredients.
Add the egg and golden syrup and mix until it forms a dough. Knead until smooth.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface and cut out circles approx 3inches in diameter.
Cut hearts in the center of half the circles.
Place small spoons (or big dollops) of Funky Nut Co Caramel crunch peanut butter on the the full circles and top with the heart centered circles. Press the sides down lightly and place onto your baking tray.
Bake at 150C for 10minutes.
