Peanut Butter Protein Bars
If you like peanut butter (who doesn´t?) and you want extra protein in your diet, then this little gem of a recipe for peanut butter protein bars will make you smile. And best of all, it can be done quickly with no baking required!
How to make peanut butter protein bars in two easy steps
Step 1 - The base
Put everything for the base into your food processor, whizz it up and then put the mixture into a loaf tin and pop it in the fridge for an hour. (See how easy that is)
Step 2 - The topping
For the topping, melt all the ingredients in a bowl over boiling water until melted, pour on top of base and pop back in fridge until set.
All you need to do then is sit back and enjoy!!!!

Protein bar base
- 2 cups of ground almonds
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Funky Nut natural peanut butter
- Handful of Pecans
Chocolate topping
- 2 tbsp Funky Nut natural peanut butter
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
